Transportation Information

We encourage Incubator attendees to take public transportation whenever possible. Below is information to help you plan your trip.

Airport Transportation

Portland International Airport (PDX) is located approximately 10 miles from downtown Portland, approximately 40 minutes travel time via MAX Light Rail Trains and 25 minutes travel time via car.

The Red Line travels to and from the airport. An adult ticket costs $2.50, and MAX ticket machines are located at each MAX Station. At the airport, the MAX station and ticket machines are located on the lower level, next to the south baggage claim area (turn right at the base of the escalator). Click here for more information on using the MAX train.

The average Uber and Lyft fare from Portland airport to downtown is approximately $26. The average taxi fare from the airport to downtown is approximately $35 before gratuity. The one-way trip takes 20-40 minutes. Taxis and Uber/Lyft cars are available in the center section of the airport terminal’s lower roadway outside of baggage claim.

Ground Transportation

We strongly encourage Incubator attendees to utilize Portland's extensive MAX light rail and Portland Street Car public transit system for all ground transportation. These systems provide efficient, safe, and affordable access to all parts of the city, and include a direct route from the Portland International Airport to downtown Portland and our preferred hotels.

Portland has an extensive public transit system including the MAX Light Rail Service, city buses, and Portland Streetcar. Information including routes, schedules, and fares is available here

Rideshare services (such as Uber and Lyft) and taxis are available throughout Portland.
